About

I'm Francesco Bozzo, a Software Development Engineer II at Amazon in Milan, Italy. I work in the Fulfillment Technologies organization focusing on optimizing container flow and routing across Amazon warehouses worldwide.

Before Amazon, I was a Machine Learning Engineer at the Bruno Kessler Foundation in Trento, developing deep learning models for industrial equipment prognostics. I also worked with Wikipedia datasets at Eurecat to investigate contributor drop-off from the platform.

I hold an MSc in Artificial Intelligence Systems and a BSc in Computer Science, both with maximum grade with honors from the University of Trento. My MSc thesis explored LLM-based planning for autonomous software agents.

Outside work, I am passionate about Nix for managing my machines, including NixOS on my Strix Halo Framework Desktop and Nix Darwin on my MacBook. I self-host multiple services for managing documents, photos, DNS, search engine, home automation, monitoring and alerting, and especially serving local LLMs. I am also passionate about reverse engineering, which first introduced me to programming during high school. I focus on reverse engineering Nintendo DS games, especially to support fan translation projects.
